***I put happy faces over the student's faces for privacy***
The first day of school/
I had the students take a picture with the frame I made over the summer. Students just hold the frame (no glass) in front of them and you snap the picture. Makes a cute/creative border to go around them. I then put them on our back bulletin board for parents to look at when they come in our classroom.
To make the frame, I just bought a black one from Walmart and covered it with duct tape and foam. You can probably use die cut letters out of paper...but I decided to make it more difficult on myself by free handing these letters and cutting them out by hand.
The 100th day of school
I peeled off the "1st" and put "100th". YEAH, I could have made another frame...but I got lazy okay?! Lol.
For the 100th day we took these pictures, made 100 day trail mix (10 food items and they grab 10 from each bowl) writing prompt of what they would do with 100 dollars and they did painting with q-tips (10 different colors to make 100 dots) We also made 100 day crowns "Ms. Doi is 100 days smarter!"
What do you want to be when you grow up?
In kindergarten there is a unit about our community and community workers. During this unit, we like to ask the students what they think they would want to be when they grow up. I'm making a collage for 3 classes (90 students) It is actually taking a lot longer then I thought it would but the end result is cute. Basically I just had a chalk board and wrote down what the student said.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Of course, there had to be at least one 49er!
10 out of 30 of my students said that they want to be a teacher :)
Zoo keeper so he can play with all of the animals!
"To shoot zombies!" ........?
Spiderman's job is pretty cool.
Too cute.
Lol. I used their words.
So basically, for each class I'm making a class picture. On photoshop I turned the pictures black and white and then sized them down to make this: This isn't complete yet...I want to fix some of the chalk boards that look too chalky and I want to add a title to the top..
So, there are a few kindergarten ideas! Hope you enjoyed!
